Rachelle H. Cohen and Robert L. Kehr were co-presenters in a Beverly Hills Bar Association virtual discussion on January 6 about legal ethics.
The presentation, titled “2024 Ethics Year In Review” provided an update on the most important highlights on ethics developments from 2024, covering recent cases, ethics opinions, and State Bar discipline decisions.
Rachelle, Managing Partner of Valensi Rose, is Vice Chair of the Los Angeles County Bar Association Ethics Committee, a member of the California Lawyers Association Civics Engagement and Ethics Committees, and former Chair of the Los Angeles County Bar Association’s Professional Responsibility and Ethics Committee.
She frequently speaks and writes about business entities and transactions and legal ethics. In addition, she has taught a course at the USC Gould School of Law on contract drafting and strategy.
At Valensi Rose, her areas of practice include business and real estate transactions, estate planning, and legal ethics consulting. She serves as an outside “in-house” counsel to many of her clients, providing day-to-day guidance on legal challenges that arise in her clients’ businesses.
Bob’s practice includes business and real estate transactions and estate planning, providing legal ethics advice to lawyers, law firms, and businesses that work with lawyers, and serving as a consultant and expert witness concerning lawyer conduct and fiduciary issues.
He is an Adjunct Professor at Loyola Law School, a member of the American Law Institute, a member of the Association of Professional Responsibility Lawyers, and for many years has been a volunteer fee arbitrator through California’s mandatory fee arbitration program. He is an author and a frequent speaker regarding the professional responsibilities of lawyers.
