Valensi Rose is pleased to announce that Lynda I. Chung has been named a Partner, effective January 1, 2019. She joins the other senior members of the firm, including Managing Partner Michael Morris, Philip Magaram, Laurie Murphy, Gary Torrell, Brad Kuenning, and the firm's other new partner, Kayla Horacek.
A business and probate litigator, Lynda joined the firm in 2004. Trust and estate litigation matters Lynda handles include financial elder abuse by caregivers or family members, will and trust contests, disputes over settlors’ capacity, undue influence, fiduciary accounting, and conservatorships.
Lynda also represents clients in a wide range of business litigation matters, including real property, construction contracts, construction defects, enforcement of creditors' rights, fraudulent bankruptcies or transfers, disputes between partners and members of closely-held companies, and labor disputes.
Born and raised in Korea, Lynda did her undergraduate work at Yonsei University in Seoul. She earned an M.A. in Anthropology at the University of California at Santa Barbara, where she was a recipient of the Regents' Fellowship and the Rotary International Scholarship, and her law degree at Loyola Law School.
She currently serves as Co-Program Chair of the Trust & Estates Section of the Beverly Hills Bar Association and is a member of the Korean American Bar Association and the Trusts & Estates Section of the Los Angeles County Bar Association. Lynda teaches continuing legal education programs on trust litigation and post-mortem debt collection.
