Valensi Rose is pleased to announce that Robert C. Weiss has joined the firm as a member of our Real Estate and Business and Finance Groups.

Bob is an extremely sophisticated real estate/finance lawyer and a proven “deal maker”, who  has been directly involved in billions of dollars of commercial and hundreds of millions of dollars of luxury home transactions. He has an exceptional ability to focus on the business objectives of his clients and expertly create the legal framework to achieve them.

His extensive background includes property acquisitions and dispositions, construction transactions, option agreements and negotiating and documenting significant financing transactions for lenders and borrowers (particularly those seeking CMBS loans).

He also assists clients with restructuring loans that might otherwise go into default, tenancies-in-common, large leases, resolving title issues, due diligence, like-kind exchanges, foreclosures, joint ventures, ground leases, and numerous other corporate and real estate transactions.

His considerable financing skills led to Bob to accept an invitation to be a member of the California Continuing Legal Education Real Property – Finance Subcommittee.

Prior to joining Valensi Rose, Bob was of counsel with Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck for three years, and  previously operated his own law firm in Century City since 2002.

Bob gained invaluable business experience while serving as a senior executive in several large real estate organizations (including time as a chief "lieutenant" for a Forbes 400 enterprise).

He is a graduate, cum laude, from the University of California at Los Angeles, and received his Juris Doctor degree from the UCLA School of Law.

Bob is also a licensed real estate broker, a former Los Angeles County Reserve Deputy Sheriff, a former President of the Scopus Society of the American Friends of the Hebrew University, a Founder of Thalians Mental Health Facility at Cedars-Sinai, and  a recipient of the Jack Webb Award from the LAPD Historical society.
