Valensi Rose is pleased to announce that Hannah B. Shanks-Parkin has joined the firm.

Hannah's areas of practice include business disputes, banking and financial services litigation, contract actions, and trust and estate matters, at all levels of litigation and through appeal in State and Federal Courts.

 Before joining Valensi Rose, Hannah was a litigation and appellate associate with Greenberg Traurig, LLP, where her extensive litigation experience included representing several major financial institutions in regulatory matters, FINRA arbitrations and trials involving multi-million-dollar potential damages, in which she successfully obtained verdicts in favor of her clients. In addition to financial institutions, she has represented clients in manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, tourism, fast food franchising and  other industries.

She is a graduate of the University of Oregon with a degree, cum laude, in Spanish and Journalism. While enrolled there she studied at the Universidad Austral de Chile, in Valdivia, Chile.

Hannah earned her Juris Doctor degree, magna cum laude, from Loyola Law School, where she was an editor of the Loyola Law Review.

Fluent in Spanish, she has for many years provided pro bono legal services to asylum-seeking clients.

She is admitted to the California bar.

When not busy serving her clients, Hannah enjoys gardening, travel, and reading.

Robert L. Kehr spoke on ethical issues facing paralegals at the General Session of the 48th Annual Conference of the Los Angeles Paralegal Association. The conference was held on Oct. 19 at the Omni Hotel.

Lynda I. Chung, Chair of the Valensi Rose Litigation Department, spoke to the Beverly Hills Estate Planning Council on Sept. 9 about “Money, Marriage, Debt, and Death: Handling Decedents’ Estates and Trusts with Community Property or Debt Issues.”

Michael Morris moderated a panel discussion on legal issues important to members of the music industry, hosted Sept. 10 on Zoom by the California Copyright Conference.

Rachelle H. Cohen, Managing Partner of Valensi Rose, spoke at the Solo and Small Firm Summit. The virtual conference took place June 13-14.
