On February 28, 2019, Lynda Chung, a litigation partner with our firm, will speak to the Trust & Estates Section of the Beverly Hills Bar Association about Post-Mortem Debt Collection.
Lynda will offer practical tips from her experience in enforcing creditors' claims in both civil and probate courts over two decades.
The program will cover an overview of creditor claim procedures and potential pitfalls to avoid. It will also review strategies utilized by sophisticated debtors to protect their assets from creditors; the obligations of spouses, heirs and trusts for the decedent's debt and procedures creditors must follow when pursuing claims against assets outside the probate estate.
A member of our Litigation Group, Lynda specializes in probate and business litigation matters, including will contests, trust contests, financial elder abuse, fiduciary accounting, real property and construction contract disputes, creditor's rights, fraudulent transfers, and disputes between shareholders or members of closely-held companies.
